Imposter guide
Why Imposter Is a Great Party Game for Adults
You're planning a night in with friends and you've cycled through the usual options. Cards Against Humanity got old two years ago, charades needs more energy than anyone has after a drink, and half your board games take twenty minutes just to explain. You want something people can pick up instantly and that gets funnier as the night goes on.
How to do it in Imposter
Skip the setup problem
Imposter runs off one phone, so nobody has to own anything, shuffle anything, or read a rulebook out loud. Open the app, type in names, and you're playing within a minute of someone suggesting it.
Let the bluffing do the work
The whole game is watching your friend sweat while they pretend to know a word they've never seen. Rounds take about five minutes, so nobody checks their phone out of boredom.
Keep it going as people come and go
Since a round is short and the app re-deals every game, latecomers can jump in and tired people can drop out without wrecking anything. Start a new round whenever, with whoever's still standing.
